Mid Season Up Date

Finally a spare moment to update the blog. The ASR Racing Season is going great, after 6 races we find ourselves in the Season Points Lead in GTS1.

At Mid-Ohio in April we finished 7th on Saturday and 6th on Sunday out of a field of 9. Had good weather and the car ran great. The new track configuration and surface took some getting used to, but by the end of the weekend, we were consistently running in the high 1:50’s.

In May we were at Putnam Park, which is just west of Indianapolis IN. On took a 2nd place on Saturday and Sunday. We had 4 drivers in GTS1 that weekend and the only real competition came from a BMW that we battled all weekend but just could not stay ahead of when it counted. We consistently were running 1:28’s all weekend.

Last weekend, June 10th and 11th we raced at Beaverun, which in just west of Pittsburgh, PA. Great weather and strong competition. We had 7 drivers in GTS1 and on Saturday we placed 4th and on Sunday we finished 3rd. After not driving at this track sense the 2004 season, I was happy with a personal best of 1:11.572

So, heading into Mid-Ohio on July 8th and 9th we are 84 point above the second place GTS1 driver in Season points.
